Are You And Your Business Under The Influence of Bad Marketing?!

We need to have a chat.

You see, before you market your site and unique products, before you outrank your competitors, and before you spread your message to the world, we need to address one undeniable truth that holds the success of your small-business marketing world hostage:

Bad marketing = Bad Internet marketing!

There, I said it – it’s on the table. And if you’re like most artists, you should probably take this to heart.

Bad marketing doesn’t discriminate. It can affect all businesses, in all categories and regions, the same way. It can spread like wildfire influencing any type of small business.  It will be around long after the Internet passes, and after whatever other client communication tools lie ahead.

“Is my business under the influence of bad marketing?!”

Bad marketing can be defined as poor use of these 5 fundamental marketing concepts. These marketing concepts are:

  • Mindset. Complete focus on growing and running your business.
  • Target Market. Learn everything you can possible know about your ideal customers.
  • Brand. Craft a compelling brand that speaks to the needs of your audience and separates you from your competition.
  • Media. Know where to reach your target audience.
  • Numbers. Measure the essential numbers that relate to your marketing.

Many artists fail to implement these core elements, often resulting in poor return on investment and worse, failure to grow or even stay in business.

Everyone’s heard the common and scary statistic that “90 percent of small businesses fail.” A more accurate variation may be that “90 percent of small businesses fail to market properly.”

Why? We’ll cover this soon enough, but first, let’s dig deeper into the 5 marketing fundamentals and how to put them to work. Stay tuned for our next post, you don’t want to miss it.
